Domestic violence is an important and sensitive issue in our society. William C. Ulrich has extensive experience, over a 30 year span of practice, in representing clients in domestic violence issues, including restraining orders, and in representation of both men and women, both "perpetrators" and victims.

One of the most important components of domestic violence is its effect on children. In many cases children are caught in a situation of domestic violence, and the effects on children in witnessing violence in the home are profound and long-lasting. I do my utmost to handle domestic violence issues and restraining orders in a sensitive manner, while striving always to protect the rights of my client in every possible way. I attempt to provide the necessary support to my clients who find themselves or their children in a situation of domestic violence, and offer resources to both domestic violence perpetrators and victims to try to end the cycle of abuse.

The primary issue, of course, is immediate protection, and diffusing of tension and eliminating situations in which violence can occur. This can be achieved through various sorts of custody and visitation arrangements, as well as through carefully-crafted domestic violence restraining orders, in which I have significant expertise and experience.
